Mula

Astronomy lists 28 nakṣatras or groups of stars. The Mula is the 19th in the list. It comprises of two stars:

  1. The lambda
  2. The upsilon Scorpio

It is generally considered as inauspicious. The Atharvaveda calls it as ‘Vicṛtan’.
