  2. the primary sub-school of the Vedānta school of philosophy, that expounds the strictly monistic, non-differentiated nature of all manifested creation and the essential sameness and inseparability between the individual soul (Ātma) and the Supreme truth (Brahman).
  3. Advaita Ācārya: a 14th century saint and spiritual leader of Bengal who was the spiritual companion of the Vaişņava saint Śrī Caitanya.
